I have a question: is there any way to watch a bot / computer play Catan, viewing his cards and his every move? A board setup mode and the ability to go back and forth between moves would be nice options as well. Every modern chess program includes this sort of options, so why can't a Catan game have them?
I just don't understand why that doesn't (seem to) exist, while it would be incredibly useful. After every move I do in Catan, I think 'What would have been the smartest move here? Am I missing opportunities?'. There is no way to find this out with any of the Catan programs I have found online so far.
Playing against bots on my iPhone Catan game, I always see them making brilliant moves but I can never look into their cards. I can never let three bots play against each other to learn from them. It can't be that hard to design a Catan game which includes a custom board setup mode, a bot viewing mode and undo and redo buttons.
Right?
